Theodora Scarato MSW is Executive Director of  Environmental Health Trust (EHT), a scientific think tank that carries out research on environmental health risks, develops educational resources and works directly with policymakers worldwide. Scarato maintains the EHT database that documents the over 20 nations that have protective policies in place to reduce public exposure to wireless radiation.

In Maryland Scarato has long worked on children’s environmental health issues in the schools and was instrumental in the Prince George’s County School System move to address lead contamination in the schools drinking water and in the Maryland State Advisory Council on Children’s Environmental Health Protection move to issue recommendations to reduce radiofrequency exposures in the school setting. Scarato most recently presented and helped coordinate the first US medical conference designed exclusively to train medical and health professionals on electromagnetic radiation. She recently co-authored a paper reviewing research, policy and legal issues related to  radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation with recommendations to the building industry on reducing liability and risk.
