On June 4, 2020 the Washington Post published an Oped by Thomas M. Johnson Jr., general counsel of the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC counsel’s Op-ed entitled “5G conspiracy theories threaten the U.S. recovery” refers to “alarmism”  irrational fears and unproven theories.”

In response, Dr. Davis immediately penned a letter to the editor. Here is what she sent the  Washington Post.

Contrary to what T. Johnson asserts 6/4/2020, no US health agency has ever developed safety limits for cell phone radiation. In the 90’s, the EPA was defunded just as it was creating safety limits. The FCC adopted limits created by industry-dominated groups in 1996. As the EPA and Department of Interior have warned FCC limits do not protect against damage from long term exposures.

The National Toxicology Program (NTP) $30 million study found that cell phone radiation was associated with “clear evidence” of cancer, DNA damage and heart damage. The FDA’s rejection of this study has been thoroughly criticized by scientists. The FDA did not even review research showing brain damage and ignores research showing harm to bees, trees and birds.

Why are 500 Italian cities and over 370 scientists (non industry funded) calling to halt 5G?   A New Hampshire Commission asks this very question. Easton Connecticut and Farragut Tennessee halted 5G, joining a growing list of cities restricting 5G

If cell phones are so safe, then why do NIH scientists clearly state on the NTP website that they themselves minimize cell phone exposure? Why is the NTP studying 5G if it is so safe?
