The FCC has published their refusal to update the US 24 year old outdated and non protective wireless radiation limits in the Federal Registry.
The FCC says, “While some commenters suggested that the Commission should revise it RF exposure standards to be consistent with other international standards, the Commission declined to make any changes that would effectively relax its current standards, concluding that the best available evidence, including consideration of the opinions provided by expert U.S. federal health agencies, supports maintaining the Commission’s existing RF exposure standards.”
Despite reams of scientific evidence showing serious biological effects at levels far below the existing FCC RF limits and evidence given by numerous individuals injured by RF, the FCC says RF limits established in the 1990’s are adequate to protect the public from today’s technologies and the new technologies being developed for widespread deployment across the nation.
This is why EHT has taken historic legal action against the FCC. EHT’s appeal was filed in the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on January 31, 2020 by the Law Office of Edward B. Myers on behalf of Environmental Health Trust, Consumers for Safe Cell Phones, and several individuals.
Lawyer Edward B. Myers was part of the recent winning litigation against the FCC (along with the Natural Resources Defense Council and 19 tribal groups) which overturned FCC regulations that would have exempted small cell facilities from environmental review and compliance under the National Environmental Policy Act.
