Small Cells: Here, There and Everywhere: Safety Video

NATE  released a video entitled “Small Cells: Here, There and Everywhere” designed to showcase the prominent role next generation technologies and the Association’s member companies are playing to densify networks on the road to 5G. The fast-paced video was unveiled at the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Safety 2019 Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The video highlights the proliferation of small cell antennas that are being deployed in urban and suburban areas of the country and provides a technician’s perspective on the unique hazards such as traffic, electrical, RF exposure and fall prevention that must be accounted for when installing and maintaining this technology. “NATE members are on the front lines of the early 5G deployment cycle and the information contained in this video will be a great educational and training resource to ensure this important work continues to be conducted in a safe and quality manner,” said Jessica Mink from Michigan-based member company MDTS LLC.

NATE encourages tower technicians and industry stakeholders to actively participate in this campaign by posting the video on their respective social networking platforms using the hashtag #ClimberConnection. NATE also encourages industry workers to share their comments on the video through social interaction on the Association’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

The Climber Connection Volume 4 campaign was developed by the NATE Member Services Committee in conjunction with the NATE Safety & Education Committee and is designed to provide specific resources and communicate the Association’s message directly to the industry’s workforce.
