New Analysis: Largest “No-Risk” Mobile Phone Study Contradicted by Rising Brain Tumour Rates in Denmark

A new analysis by Swedish researchers raises concerns about the validity of the widely cited Danish mobile phone cohort study, long used internationally as evidence that mobile phone use does not increase brain tumour risk.

The analysis, by oncology professor and cancer researcher Dr Lennart Hardell and Mona Nilsson of the Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation, argues that the study contains significant methodological limitations, including exposure misclassification and inadequate comparison groups, and that its conclusions are not supported by national cancer trends in Denmark.
