GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea:

a day that encourages people to do good.

Now in its ninth year, this global generosity movement has unleashed the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. With hundreds of millions of people willing to make change, we can strive to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together.

WHY EHT?

Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for EHT to fulfill our mission of safeguarding human health and the environment by empowering people to use state-of-the-art technology in a safe and responsible manner for everyone.

This year, Environmental Health Trust is joining Giving Tuesday to raise the voices of the hundreds of thousands of people who have expressed their concern about the massive increase in radiofrequency radiation from the use of wireless cell phones and devices and deployment of millions of cell towers and antennas. The landscape has been permeated by these towers with little to no regard for the impact they have on human health or the environment.

WHAT CAN WE DO?

Several schools are stepping up to the challenge and reducing their use of wireless radiation while ensuring that real learning takes place. We believe that students are healthier and learn better when they aren’t distracted by cell phones or exposed to 5G and wireless pollution.

With the 2020 federal elections behind us, thousands of communities voted to fund new construction of schools or renovate existing schools. Now is a great opportunity to ensure that new and renovated schools are built using wired technology that is financially competitive and long-lasting. Let’s make sure that new schools are constructed so that students can learn in a safe, nontoxic environment. We want to make sure that 5G does NOT become the norm in schools. Will you help keep kids safe?

Students learn better in a safe, nontoxic environment. With little guidance from federal policymakers, many local school leaders are unaware of the potential harm from wireless radiation — on adults and especially children. Our Safe Tech in Schools campaign is a special effort by EHT to spread valuable information to administrators, teachers, and school superintendents across the nation about creating healthier learning environments in schools.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED!

— For every $100, we will be able to send 20 safe school technology information packets to PTA leadership teams in communities throughout the nation.

— For every $50, we will be able to deliver 10 advisory packages of safe-building materials and wiring instructions to school superintendents.

— For every $25, we will be able to send Safe Tech in Schools Safety Instructions to five teachers unions.
