The new Google Pixel 10 range has just been launched. It is attracting a great deal of interest in the world of mobile telephony. However, our independent calculator Phonegate Alert reveals that the actual electromagnetic wave (SAR) exposure levels are much higher than the values advertised by Google. This alert is all the more worrying as the measured values far exceed European standards.
Comparison of advertised and actual SAR values
SAR Type | Google’s advertised value (W/kg) | Calculated Actual Value (W/kg) |
Head SAR | 0,99 | 7,425 |
THE tronc | 1,39 | 6,950 |
DAS members | 2,79 | 5,580 |
These figures show that the actual values far exceed the European limits: 2 W/kg for the head and trunk, 4 W/kg for the limbs. Exposure to these levels can have health consequences.
The entire Pixel 10 range is affected
Our analysis shows that the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL models have SAR levels equivalent to the standard Pixel 10. The entire range therefore includes risky SAR levels.
Lack of official communication from Google
Unlike the Pixel 9, for which Google had published a warning about exposure to waves, the brand no longer communicates any SAR level for the Pixel 10 on its French website. The warning simply disappeared!
This absence raises questions about the manufacturer’s transparency. Meanwhile, our independent calculations show very high levels of exposure. Google has made no effort to make its smartphones less dangerous to the health of its users.
Deciphering and concerns
This situation reveals major inconsistencies in Google’s communication and in current measurement standards. Our calculator incorporates the recommendations of ANSES as well as France’s formal objection to the European Commission.
These authorities stress that official methods do not reflect actual use, in particular the direct contact of the phone with the body (head, pocket). This contact exposes to much higher levels of electromagnetic waves than in the standard tests. Google therefore underestimates the real exposures of European users.
Call for vigilance and European authorities
Faced with these alarming findings, especially for models sold in Europe, Phonegate Alert asks:
- An urgent revision of European and international standards so that they reflect actual use in direct contact with the body of the phone
- Clear and transparent communication from Google on actual exposure levels and associated risks
Dr. Marc Arazi, president of Phonegate Alert, insists:
“European consumers must be fully and transparently informed. Daily use with direct contact of the smartphone to the body exposes you to greater risks than those announced. The Pixel 10, like the Pixel 9 before it, reveals that the official values don’t reflect reality. Caution is necessary pending regulatory clarifications. »
