Cyprus Mail reports that school children in the Cyprus village of Konia went on strike on Thursday in protest at the installation of a 5G cell tower in the village.

The entire communit

y protested including children holding placards bearing slogans such as “we have a right to life”, “radiation damages health”, and “no 5G near school”.

“President of the Parent Association of Konion Elementary School, Thomas Nikodimou, said students are staying out of their classes for two teaching terms as the 5G antenna emits “directly towards our school causing the 280 students attending Elementary School in direct danger Konion as well as the teaching staff.”
