An interesting study from South Korea, suggests that RF-EMF exposures might help in treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
1.5 months old 5×FAD mice were exposed to sham or to RF-EMF at 1950 MHz, SAR of 5 W/kg for 2 hours/day, 5 days/week for 6 months. RF-EMF exposure ameliorated cognitive impairment and amyloid-β deposition. As mechanism of such effect was proposed inhibition of the activity of microgial cells leading to suppression of neuro-inflammation and driven by it deposition of beta-amyloids.
